Chinese stocks rose for a seventh consecutive trading day on Tuesday, the last trading day before a week-long Spring Festival holiday.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.76 percent to end at 3,246.91 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.06 percent to end at 11,718.56 points.
The Spring Festival, or the lunar new year, falls on Thursday this year. The holiday will last from Wednesday to Feb. 24.
