Sydney (CNS) -- The Australia Post will issue a stamp and coin cover to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dragon from January 10, 2012. The collection will include an Australian legal tender coin, official Australia Post stamps and a specially designed presentation envelope.

The 60c and $1.80 stamps depict a stylized dragon and the traditional Chinese character for "dragon."

The product is dedicated to the many Chinese migrants who have contributed to Australian society in some 150 years of history. The dragon image was chosen not only to represent the coming year, but also to wish the Chinese migrants auspiciousness, longevity, health and success.

The "Dragon Year" stamp collection is the fifth of the stamp series featuring twelve Chinese zodiac signs released by the national post.
