Beijing (CNS) -- Thirteen high-speed railway lines, including the Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Tianjin, Shanghai-Hangzhou, Shanghai-Nanjing, Guangzhou-Shenzhen and Wuhan-Guangzhou lines, have facilitated ID-verified access, according to the Ministry of Railways on Wednesday.
It is now unnecessary for passengers who order online or by phone to get paper tickets to board trains on these lines. The move is expected to speed up passenger flows, especially during the Spring Festival holiday rush, an official said.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the station 40 minutes to 4 hours before their train's departure during the special travel season, a person in charge at the Beijing West Railway Station told CNS.
