Antarctic Zhongshan Station (CNS) – Liu Kefu, the secretary of China's 28th scientific expedition to Antarctica, and Han Desheng, the head of Zhongshan Station, visited Australia's Davis Station in the polar region for the first time on Thursday.

"There are many things we need to learn from Davis Station, which will help us to improve our stations in the Antarctic," said Liu, adding that it is important to cooperate with Davis Station in the future, because it was established earlier and has a feasible system for the research of meteorology, oceanography and the atmosphere.

Alison Dean, the head of Davis Station, expressed interest in visiting China's Zhongshan Station when the director of the Australian Antarctic Division comes to Davis in the near future.
