Hepatitis E vaccine to be produced soon

Xiamen (CNS) – A vaccine for the treatment of hepatitis E has been invented for the first time by Xiamen Innovax Biotech Co., Ltd, said the general manager of the company on Monday, adding that it will be produced from June onwards and is expected to reach 5 million doses.

Innovax now owns more than 60 biomedical companies, and is responsible for nearly half of Xiamen's medical industry production value. It created 4.75 billion yuan in production value in 2011, up 11.7 percent compared to 2010. The company is expected to reach 15 billion yuan in terms of production value by 2015.
