Tianjin (CNS) -- Han De from Palestine, Cai Zi from Spain, and Han Zhiren from Korea are all studying traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) at the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TUTCM).
Han De, 25, is a postgraduate at the department of cheirapsis, acupuncture and moxibustion. Amazed by the efficacy of TCM in treating chronic diseases without side effects, he is determined to open a TCM clinic in his home country after graduation.
Cai Zi became fascinated by TCM during a trip to China two years ago, after which he quit his marketing job in Spain to learn more about it.
Though often confused by heavy tasks, he is patient and asks frequent questions about things he doesn't understand.
Han Zhiren's determination to explore TCM has been made somewhat easier by a bachelor's degree in Chinese. Her plan is to join a non-profit organization after graduation.
