Beijing (CNS) – China's Ministry of Commerce is encouraging retailers to go abroad and develop offshore commercial facilities, an announcement made on February 6 revealed.
The ministry says in the period from 2011 to 2015, their policies will directly assist retail enterprises to establish themselves overseas, so as to drive exports and foster a greater market presence for Chinese brands.
Large-sized retail enterprises will be supported to establish retail outlets and warehouses, and mid-to-small sized enterprises (SME) will get a boost to team up and march united into the global marketplace. Companies going international will be subsidized in the early stages of their preparaton and for operational expenditures.
The Ministry of Commerce expects a yearly average growth of 15 percent in the retail industry.
