Chongqing (CNS) – A non-stop flight will commence between Chongqing, China and Bangkok, Thailand on March 23, Air Asia announced February 9.
The day flight FD3820/1 by served by an A320 will make the journey in three hours.
To celebrate the opening of new route, the company is promoting 5,000 one-way tickets from February 9 to 14, said Chen Kailin, the Regional Business Director of Air Asia. The bargain price of 99 yuan (483 baht) excludes the airport tax and fuel surcharges, and the company has pledged to keep the airfare at a level within the reach of common people after promotion period.
Passengers from the provinces of Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and Hunan will be provided one night's free accommodation as part of the promotion, added Cao Qianli, deputy general manager of Chongqing Airport Group.
All other passengers will enjoy free accommodation and a round-trip bus fare between Chongqing Airport and the urban core, if they are flying to Chongqing and transferring back to Bangkok, added Cao.
The non-stop flight will help boost the ongoing opening up of China's west, said Chongqing official Wang Jiguang.
