Washington (CNS) -- The Embassy of China in the US launched a new feature on its website called Guide to Investing in the United States.
Added on February 13, the section will serve as an information platform to assist Chinese enterprises making investments in the US and promoting Sino-US economic cooperation, said Zhang Yesui, Chinese Ambassador to the United States.
China and the US are presently each other's second largest trading partner, he noted, and the bilateral trade volume reached US$446.6 billion in 2011, 180 times the 1979 level when the countries reestablished diplomatic relations.
More and more Chinese enterprises regard the US as an important destination in overseas investment, but often have inadequate knowledge of the investment environment, rules and regulations, and other aspects of US commerce.
The new online guide embodies the good will of the Chinese government towards enterprises extending their range, commented Yu Jianhua at the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
The guide provides a broad and thorough introduction to the investment environment, investor notices, and relevant procedures set out by the federal government, plus 11 attachments covering Chinese regulations regarding overseas investment.
