Guangzhou (CNS) – The number of deaths in January caused by infectious diseases in Guangdong Province was 64, of which 32 cases were AIDS related, according to a report announced by the Guangdong Health Office on Thursday.
According to the report, rabies and tuberculosis ranked No. 2 and No. 3 after AIDS. Last month, 12 people were newly-infected with rabies and 20 people died of it, while 6,813 were infected with tuberculosis and eight died of it.
Altogether, the three diseases led to 93.75 percent of deaths by infectious diseases in January.
