Taiyuan (CNS) – The kick-off meeting for the China Coal Trading Center was held on Thursday morning, making it the first coal trading center ever approved by the State council.
Located in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, it will regularly release industry information to domestic and international markets and serve as a transaction platform for domestic and international coal producers, consumers and operators.
Center director Qu Jianwu said they will offer multiple services including coal transactions, settlement, financing, warehousing, logistics and exhibition.
Qu promised they will not meddle in transactions among enterprises, but as much as possible match traders with business opportunities.
To date, the center claims 72 enterprises have registered as its first traders.
