The resident health card
Zhengzhou (CNS) -- On Thursday, China's first batch of health cards were issued by the Ministry of Health to residents in central China's Henan Province, Ordos in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Jinzhou in northeast China's Liaoning Province, and Foshan in south China's Guangdong Province.
The convenience of the health card is that it contains the holder's identity data, cross-institute medical history, basic health conditions and diagnosis record, all accessed by a swipe.
During the pilot phase, health authorities are encouraged to bridge the uses of the health card with other public service cards, such as citizen and financial cards, to simplify all health transactions for the residents.
