CNS (Dehua) -- China's first documentary film on ceramics started shooting in China's Ceramic Capital- Dehua County of Fujian Province on March 15.
The film celebrates the delicate art of making porcelain, a specialty of local craftsmen, and be released in two versions: Mandarin and Hokkien. Promotional activity will be focused on Southeast Asia and Taiwan, says director Zhao Shude.
Called Dancing Dragon Winds, Golden Bottle, it will trace the long history of ceramic culture in the region, said Magistrate Ouyang Qiuhong, who says the local government will make full use of the film to fix its image as the Ceramic Capital of China, the better to develop its tourism industry.
Dehua is the birthplace of Chinese ceramic culture, and the country's largest technical ceramics production and export base with products ordered byover 190 countries and regions.
