Qingdao (CNS) -- China unveiled its first bulk commodity data platform, SunSirs.com, during the 4th China and International Petroleum Business Summit (CIPBS) on Wednesday. It will serve users in 10 languages.
In addition to Chinese, information will be available in English, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Turkish and Arabic, facilitated by the China Commodity Data Group (CCDG).
A monthly bulk commodity index reference will be published in all 10 languages on the first day of every month.
Direct and acute indications of bulk commodity price fluctuations are expected to make up for inefficient and ineffective domestic industrial information channels, as well as provide a means to improve China's influence on industrial discourse and pricing capability in the global bulk commodity market, remarked Sun Deliang, founder of the CCDG.
The CIPBS is a widely-recognized annual industrial summit that has been held every March since 2008, drawing a large number of highly specialized and authoritative attendees.
On this year's list are nearly 500 international refineries, oil companies, traders, terminal utilization firms, logistics, storage and investment institutes for oil products, as well as banks and research organizations that include the National Development and Reform Commission, China National Petroleum Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, the Sinochem Group and DuPund.
