Hong Kong (CNS) – According to a survey conducted by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) in 2011, ninety percent of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) have plans to extend their customer base to mainland consumers in next five years, said its president Tang Pik-yee on March 22.
What the SMEs are most concerned about is not rules and regulations but how to modify product design for better sales, according to the survey.
HKPC initiated the Cross-Industry Creation Conference scheduled from March 22 to 24 in Hong Kong. The event is designed to build an effective business platform by assisting enterprises to find partners to intensify their brand, said Tang.
Local enterprises not only harbor ambitions regarding the mainland market, but are also keeping an eye on the local market.
