Beijing most attractive Chinese city to foreigners

Beijing (CNS) -- Beijing has been selected by foreign experts as the most attractive Chinese city, according to a report by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.

Beijing ranks first in 13 indexes out of 18, including living environment, education facilities, urban transportation, pollution and working standards.

Many interviewees ranked the capital's education facilities at a low level, however, and provided many suggestions for improvements in other aspects.

182,600 foreign experts participated in the survey of 353 Chinese cities.

Statistics show that almost 600,000 foreigners have settled in the Chinese mainland, and that the next decade will see increasing inflows as China gains more international influence and adopts favorable policies for foreign experts.
