Beijing (CNS) -- China has announced that 23 of its cities will become the pioneer class of demonstration centers for protection of intellectual property, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) announced on Friday.
Tian Lipu, the director of SIPO, said a number of urban centers volunteered to become part of the demonstration, and the office used a rigorous, objective procedure to qualify the models for the multi-city pilot.
The assessment indexes include measures related to government investment, IPR output, use of IPR, protection of IPR and environment of IPR.
The demonstration cities are Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Chengdu, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Jinan, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Harbin, Nanjing, Nantong, Zhenjiang, Fuzhou, Dongying, Dalian, Yantai, Luoyang, Quanzhou, Wenzhou, Xi'an, and Wuhu.
