Shanghai (CNS) -- Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultural ministers together unveiled the Asia Gallery Art Fair (AGAF) in the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, Saturday.
Fifty-three galleries attended the tripartite exhibition sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, displaying more than 500 representative works of renowned masters Tang Yun, Guan Shanyue, Takashi Muradami, Yayoi Kusama, Gumpu Nakamura and many other contemporary artists.
Chinese Minister of Culture Cai Wu advocated at the unveiling ceremony that the three countries should continue to enhance cooperation, integrate resources and explore the global market to expand the influence of Asian arts.
Recently art galleries have been on the upswing in China, as government execution of favorable policies expand the industry within a steadily growing general economy, according to the sponsor.
