Shanghai high-speed rail discounts tickets

Shanghai (CNS) -- Chinese high-speed rail (HSR) launched a promotion for discounted tickets on the Shanghai-Nanjing and Shanghai- Hangzhou routes on Friday, aiming to boost HSR's customer base.

The tickets in the business block offer a discount of 30 percent, and first-class riders are being given a 10 percent break.

HSR lines of Shanghai-Nanjing and Shanghai- Hangzhou have a high frequency operation to satisfy the huge passenger demand. From May 18 to June 20, a total of 116 runs will be performed on both lines, and discounted tickets will go on sale.

Since the beginning of this year, the Shanghai Railway Bureau added the Shanghai Station, a second and alternate departure after Hongqiao Station, as a way to offer more convenience to local passengers.
