Contracts of US$140 mln signed at business fair   

“2012侨商北京洽谈会”开幕 签约额逾1.4亿美元

29日上午，由国务院侨办经济科技司、北京市商务委、北京市侨办等7家单位共同主办的“2012侨商北京洽谈会”(简称侨洽会)在国家游泳中心开幕，来自世界39个国家和地区的近800位海外侨商和嘉宾参会，73家北京高科技企业和10家海外侨商企业参展。

Beijing (CNS) – The 2012 Beijing Overseas Chinese Businessmen Fair commenced at the National Aquatics Center in Beijing Tuesday morning.

About 800 overseas Chinese businessmen from 39 countries and areas were joined by ten foreign companies owned by overseas Chinese and 73 local high-tech enterprises.

The fair aims to serve as a sound platform for foreign trade activity in Beijing, promoting domestic high-tech products abroad and introducing good-quality foreign resources.

Based on some pre-negotiation, six domestic enterprises, including the digital company Aigo and auto company Foton, signed contracts on site with overseas Chinese firms. The contracts are valued at US$140 million.
