香港教育学院(教院)31日公布该校最新的就业调查显示,从事教育工作的毕业生就业情况较预期好。
Hong Kong (CNS) -- Graduating education majors are having an easier time on the job market than expected, revealed the Hong Kong Institute of Education on Thursday.
About 98.7 percent of all graduates interviewed have been hired or are taking further study programs, according to the authority's 2011 survey.
Their average monthly has risen from 18,636 HK dollars in 2010 to 20,600 HK dollars.
This year will be the toughest for middle school graduates among all job hunters, commented Managing Director Alexa Chow with Centaline Human Resources Consultants Ltd., yet thanks to great demands in the retail sector, and a dining and hotel industry kept bubbling by mainland tourists, middle school graduates still don't have to worry much.
However, Chow added, the finance and export sectors might see shrinking offers, owing to the European debt crisis.
