国家防总11日发布消息,9日以来中国南方部分地区出现一次较强降雨过程,其中湖南、江西、浙江、福建、广西等地部分地区降了暴雨,局地大暴雨,造成不同程度的洪涝灾害。
Beijing (CNS) -- Strong rainfall since Saturday has visited a wide range of southern regions including Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangxi, raising water levels in more than 20 small or mid-size rivers, according to the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters on Monday.
Early June will bring more rainfall across the country than in normal years, the authority said.
The Xiangjiang, Ruanjiang and Miluo Rivers in Hunan, Xinjiang and Jiangxi, and more than 20 other rivers, will rise above warning lines, said the authority, adding that the Danghe and Yulin Rivers in Gansu can expect particularly large deluges.
Water levels in the Poyang and Dongting, China's two largest freshwater lakes, will rise slightly in mid-June yet stay below warning lines. The torrential rain will weaken in the coming days, move south and affect a smaller region, the authority said.
The state authority has dispatched three teams to address flood control in Guizhou, Jiangxi and Hunan.
