Changchun (CNS) -- Governmental and industry representatives from ten Russian cities began activities on June 16 for Sino-Russia Tourism Exchange Week in Changchun. They and their Chinese counterparts are exploring regional cooperation in the tourism sector.
This expo showcases the natural beauty of Russian destinations and the history of its popular cities for those locals visiting Changchun Culture Square these days.
Russian performances, a campaign promoting Chinese language learning in Russia's primary schools, and youth exchange activities are among the activities designed to enhance friendship between the countries' citizens.
In recent years, cross border travel has steadily increased in Northeast Asia, and multiple tourism lines are thriving to satisy demand for junkets between China, Russia and North Korea. Related statistics kept on trafic in the Chinese city of Hunchun that borders North Korea and Russia indicate it enjoyed 63,000 cross-border visitors in 2011, 8.1 percent up over 2010.
