Malaysia employs more public servants of Chinese origin   

马来西亚吸纳更多华裔加入公务员行列

马来西亚公共服务委员会主席玛目阿当20日称，总理纳吉布指示，要吸纳更多的华裔加入公务员行列。该委员会去年录取华裔公务员3686人、成功率达66.2%。

Kuala Lumpur (CNS) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has given the order for his civil service to induct more Chinese Malaysians, Chairman Mahmood Adam of the Public Services Commission (PSC) commented on Wednesday.

In 2011, the public servant management authority (PSM) in Malaysia recruited 3,686 Chinese into government ranks.

As of 2009, indigenous Malaysians topped all other origins in terms of applicant numbers, said Adam. In order to achieve better racial representation in the government, Malaysia is taking in more Chinese this year.

Applicant qualifications will be assessed by the Cumulative Grade Point Average, emotional intelligence, work attitude, and communication ability, Adam added.
