2011年中国法院审结毒品犯罪案件69244件,比2007年的38500件增长了近80%。中国的毒品犯罪仍处于高发态势
Beijing (CNS) -- The Chinese courts heard 69,244 drug cases in 2011, nearly 80 percent more than 2007. The occurrence of drug-related cases are at a peak in the country.
China's Supreme People's Court released information on its anti-drug work files on June 26, International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The number of drug cases has steadily increased between 2007 and 2011. This year, cases closed on drug crimes between January and May reached 23,720, 1.38 percent up.
The surge in drug trafficking globally has affected China and is coupled with negative domestic motivators for drug crimes. It spells severe trouble for society, said Sun Jungong, spokesman of the Supreme People's Court.
