国海军第十二批护航编队3日上午在浙江舟山某军港解缆起航,赶赴亚丁湾、索马里海域接替第十一批护航编队执行护航任务。
Zhoushan (CNS) -- The twelfth Chinese navy escort fleet set sail from one military port of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province destined for the Gulf of Aden and the waters off Somalia on the morning of July 3. This twelfth fleet will replace the eleventh on their current escort mission.
"It is to our navy's glory to prevent attacks by pirates and ensure security along these sailing lines, said Chinese navy's deputy commander Ding Yiping, who saw the new batch of ships off dosckside.
The twelve batch escort fleet is composed of the missile frigates Yiyang and Changzhou and the supply ship Qiandaohu, accompanied by two helicopters. Nearly 800 officers and soldiers are on board.
