“2012年文化中国·全球华人中华才艺舞蹈大赛”7月至9月间将在悉尼全面展开。
Sydney (CNS) -- The Global Chinese Talent Dancing Contest is an important activity of the 2012 Culture China and will be held in Sydney this year from July to September.
The contest aims to provide overseas Chinese artists a platform to demonstrate their gifts, and also to enrich the cultural life of overseas Chinese in Australia, Wang Yun, Consular of the Chinese Consulate-General in Sydney, said at a press conference on Thursday.
The contest will include solo dance, duet and trio dance, and group dance. All are required to be in the Chinese folk tradition.
The contest is jointly organized by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of China's State Council, the Association of Chinese Dancers and the OCT Group.
