菲律宾总统阿基诺17日出席安嘎特供水和管道改造二期工程开通仪式,感谢中国为该项目提供资金和技术支持。
Manila (CNS) -- President Benigno Aquino III of the Philippines on Tuesday extended an olive branch to China for its financial and technical support of a water supply project in Angat.
The project will help facilitate the water supply to the Metro Manila region and benefit a population of 15 million.
It was constructed by the China International Water & Electric Corporation (CWE) under the Chinese government's preferential export buyer's credit.
President Aquino said that tight relationships with neighboring countries can better help the Philippines in solving all sorts of problems and serving the people.
The project was launched in March 2010 and finished eight months ahead of schedule, said Ding Jiaren, manager of the Philippine branch of the CWE.
Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Ma Keqing attended the ceremony.
