保障房建设获突破性进展 “住有所居”梦想渐近

自中共十七大提出努力实现全体人民住有所居的目标以来，中国实施了大规模保障性安居工程建设。

Beijing (CNS) – A government run low-income housing project has seen a dramatic breakthrough in recent years, Gao Peiyong, head of the Finance and Trade Economics Institute under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said today.

Citing statistics from 2008 to 2012, Gao said the project had resulted in the building or renovation of 30 million low-income houses. More than 26 million families moved into new houses and the living standards of almost 100 million people were changed, he added.

"Before, I always worried about leakage on rainy days, but I don't worry about anything in my new house," said Pan Yulin, who moved into a low-income house a few months ago.
