Zhijiang (CNS) -- Managers of about 30 overseas Chinese media organizations on Friday visited the Flying Tigers Memorial Hall in the village of Zhijiang, Hunan Province.
The delegates came from 21 countries, including the US, Canada, France, the UK, Japan, Australia and Greece.
The group studied how Lieutenant General Claire Lee Chennault led the 1st American Volunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force, nicknamed "The Flying Tigers," against the Japanese during World WarⅡ.
"It is a memorable story in China's modern history that deserves to be more widely known," said Lv Pengfei, president of a media company in Hungary.
The circular memorial hall was established in 2005. It contains a large number of items the Flying Tigers once used and vividly describes their deeds.
