Shanghai (CNS)-- Rongbaizhai (Shanghai) Auction Company has added summer and winter fairs to bolster the traditional spring and autumn seasons for auctions.

The fair aims to fill in a market blank and speed up circulation of collections and capital flow among collectors, said Xu Juan, general manager of Rongbaozhai.

Turnover hit 139 million yuan on Saturday, the first day of the company's summer auction fair.

Also on Saturday, Christie's (Hong Kong) held two fairs themed on wine, with a total turnover of 35 million yuan.

Wine culture is taking shape in China, and we are grabbing the market opportunity, said Tan Yeming from Christie's.
