广东省农业厅18日在广州通报,广东湛江发生一起鸭H5N1高致病性禽流感疫情,目前疫情已得到有效控制。
Guangzhou (CNS) -- The H5N1 avian flu virus has been detected in Zhanjiang but is under control, the Department of Agriculture of south China's Guangdong Province announced Tuesday.
The virus has infected 14,050 ducks and killed 6,300 of them since Sept. 11 at farms in the Zhanjiang economic development zone, the department said.
Some 67,500 ducks have been culled, and farms, shambles, and relevant markets have been sterilized, according to the authority. Vehicles carrying fowl and other animals into and out of Guangdong must pass through inspection stations.
As of now, there are no new reports of H5N1, said the department.
