16日,香港投资推广署在成都举办“立足香港•迈向国际”香港餐饮业商机推介会,鼓励当地企业充分利用香港的营商优势,以香港为“跳板”,开拓国际市场。

Chengdu (CNS) -- As of June, Hong Kong has set up 4,331 enterprises in Sichuan Province, Simon Galpin, director-general of Invest Hong Kong, said at a catering industry conference on Tuesday.

Also, more and more entrepreneurs from Sichuan Province are turning their eyes to Hong Kong, an optimal place for financing and a good entry point for the international market, added Galpin.

Chengdu is the capital of delicious food and has a sound catering industry, so we expect more Sichuan restaurants to put down roots in Hong Kong and then expand their influence worldwide, said Galpin.

We will offer long-term, free services to enterprises from the mainland, said Jiang Xueli, head of tourism and catering at Invest Hong Kong. He suggested that mainland restaurants should adjust their menus to satisfy Hong Kong customers.
