国家质检总局30日提醒中国消费者:谨慎选择经邮寄进境的新西兰婴儿配方奶粉。
Beijing (CNS) -- Chinese consumers should be prudent about shipping baby formula from New Zealand, as the country has recently started a campaign to crack down on unlawful exports, Li Yuanping, spokesman of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), said on Tuesday.
The AQSIQ was informed by New Zealand's Ministry for Primary Industries on September 28 that it would combat illegal exporting, said Li.
The ministry said only registered individuals and corporations have the right to export dairy products. Individuals who break the law could be fined up to 50,000 NZ dollars (US$40,500), while corporations could be penalized as much as 300,000 NZ dollars (US$243,100), the authority said.
