Beijing (CNS) -- A warning of another cold front issued by the National Meteorological Center (NMC) on Wednesday is in accordance with Lidong (winter begins) on the Chinese lunar calendar.
The NMC forecast temperature drops and strong winds in parts of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Gansu Province and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for the next three days due to the strong front.
From Wednesday night to daytime Thursday, the northern part of China will experience snowfall, and blizzards will strike the north part of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, bringing gales as high as level 9, the NMC said.
Most parts of southern China will see storms in the following three days as the cold wave moves forward, according to meteorological authorities.
