Flight team rescues 8 fishermen  

北海救助飞行队恶劣天气中成功救助8名遇险渔民

记者从位于山东烟台的交通运输部北海救助飞行队获悉，11日上午，中国北部海域遭遇入冬以来强烈的寒潮降温天气，辽宁旅顺海域的多艘渔船不堪风浪袭击，遭遇险情。北海救助飞行队派出专业救助直升机，在大风大浪等复杂环境下成功解救8名遇险人员。

Yantai (CNS) -- The Beihai Rescue Flight Team said on Sunday that it had saved eight fishermen stranded by strong winds and high waves in waters off northern China.

The rescue team, administered by the Ministry of Transport, received an SOS from the Maritime Search and Rescue Center of Liaoning Province at 8:45 a.m. Sunday and dispatched a B-7313 helicopter in less than an hour.

Waves had reached eight meters at the rescue area, the team said.
