Shenyang (CNS) -- It's been almost two weeks since the online Singles Day promotion, yet some express courier companies are still busy delivering the excessively large number of products ordered that day.

Guo Feng, regional manager of ZTO Express in Shenyang City, was forced to deliver goods himself on Saturday after three of his employees quit because of the heavy workload brought on by the promotion.

Industry experts say the delivery industry still needs another week to fully recover.

But China's e-commerce sector isn't planning to let up. Taobao, the country's largest online shopping platform, announced Friday that it would organize another online promotion on December 12. Gome and Suning, both suppliers of electrical appliances, also said they would hold similar promotions.

Online shopping businesses frequently hold festivals to stimulate buying, which can cause shopping fatigue, said Qian Weijun, a financial expert.
