堪称中国文化“走出去”名片的孔子学院已经成立8年。由李岚清篆刻印章、欧阳中石题字的孔子学院特种邮票1日在北京首发。
Beijing (CNS) -- China Post and Confucius Institute Headquarters jointly issued two special commemorative stamps on Saturday.
The two stamps are respectively themed "Exchange" and "Education," with a total par value of 4.2 yuan (US$0.67).
Over the past eight years, China has promoted the establishment of Chinese-language schools worldwide in an effort to boost friendly ties and spread Chinese culture, said Xu Lin, head of the institute.
The stamps commemorate the past eight-year journey, and also represent our common wish to promote China in the world, added Xu.
Confucius Institutes have sprung up globally since 2004, with over 500 classrooms in 108 countries.
