Doha (CNS) -- China is not just empty talk when it comes to climate change and we have been taking real action to slow global warming, said the chief of the Chinese delegation to the UN climate conference on Monday.

Xie Zhenhua, deputy head the National Development and Reform Commission, made the remarks at a high-level forum at the Chinese corner of the climate talks in Doha, Qatar. He also clarified China's efforts to face up to the challenges of global climate change.

Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, said China was definitely one of the few countries that had made real efforts in addressing the problem.
