Beijing (CNS)-- The Central Economic Conference that ended Sunday laid out four changes to China's future economic guidelines, according to an official on Monday.
The first change represents a shift in China's model of economic development, said Li Yang, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Economic development will be more quality-oriented in the future, explained Li.
The second change will be highlighting the interests of the people, as the conference prioritized improvement to people's livelihoods and employment, he said.
The third feature of the conference emphasized a "down-to-earth" style of future economic development, which calls for the removal of overstated figures in economic data.
The fourth is the development of a new type of urbanization featuring "smart" and environmentally friendly design, Li added.
