3日凌晨4时许,一架泰国泛泰航空公司执飞的波音737-800大型客机从石家庄正定国际机场飞赴曼谷。这标志着石家庄直飞泰国曼谷的定期旅游包机正式开航。
Shijiazhuang (CNS)--A Boeing 737-800 airliner left Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, for Bangkok at 4 a.m. Thursday, marking the official launch of regular non-stop charter flights between the two cities.
The flight, which takes about 4.5 hours, is operated by Nok Airlines Company Limited and scheduled for every five days.
"It's the first regular airline from Shijiazhuang to a Southeast Asian country," said Wang Yaqi, marketing manager at the Hebei Airport Management Group.
"Thailand has been a popular destination for tourists from Shijiazhuang, but previously they had to be transferred to Beijing before flying to Thailand," he added. "The new route is expected to reduce round-trip times and costs for tourists."
After launching direct flights to Taipei, Taichung and Hong Kong, the Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport plans to open more airlines to South Korea, Thailand and other Southeastern countries, according to the head of the Hebei Airport Management Group.
