天津5日启动“环渤海蓝天行动”，以应对包括环渤海区域在内的中国北方大部分地区近期所遭受的连续雾霾，进一步引发社会各界对生态环境质量关注，改善大气环境。
Tianjin (CNS) -- Tianjin has initiated a "green" campaign to improve air quality in the Circum-Bohai Sea Region as thick smog continues to shroud the region.
The campaign was jointly launched Tuesday by several organizations, including the Tianjin Renewable Energy Society and the Tianjin Wind Energy Association.
The campaign is designed to control air pollution by promoting the research and development of environmentally-friendly technologies along with other activities.
At the launching ceremony, the organizers called on authorities in the region to strengthen oversight and crack down hard on any illegal activities related to environmental pollution.
The organizers also encouraged area universities and colleges to invest more in green technology research.
The Circum-Bohai-Sea region includes the two municipalities of Tianjin and Beijing as well as the provinces of Shandong, Liaoning and Hebei.
