(CNS) -- A cheating agricultural official in east China who promised his mistress, in writing, that he would divorce his wife has been transferred to judicial authorities, a local news website reported Monday.
Shan Zengde, the former vice head of the Agricultural Department of Shandong province, has been sacked and expelled from the Communist Party for having an extra-marital relationship and accepting bribes, according to the official blog of dzwww.com, a key news site in the province.
A letter signed by Shan spread online last November. In it, he promised his mistress that he would divorce his wife within a month, and one of his colleagues signed as a witness.
