针对新经济形势下人才的重要性,数位中国人力资源专家在27日于贵阳举行的首届中国贵州人才博览会高峰论坛上表示,人才是中国未来发展的红利。
Guiyang (CNS) -- Experts who participated in a forum on talent here on Wednesday agreed that talent will become a window of opportunity in the country's development, instead of the "population bonus."
Xiao Mingzheng, chief of the human resource management research center at Peking University, said that "talent will become a main drive in future economic development." If the talent strategy is neglected, the country will be trapped by the huge population, he added.
Wu Jiang, president of the Chinese Academy of Personnel Science, said the "population bonus," or "demographic dividend," referring to the abundant supply of cheap labor in China, is expected to start declining.
China's potential talent pool is enormous, experts said. China's sixth national population census data showed people with higher education rose from 45.7 million over the past decade (2000-2010) to 120 million in 2010, and those with a high-school education increased from 190 million to 300 million.
