“美素丽儿”被曝问题奶粉引起社会关注。28日,苏州工业园区管委会召开情况通报会,官方证实,“美素丽儿”奶粉涉嫌多罪名,该案主要嫌疑人牟骏已被抓获。但令人不解的是该公司仍有奶粉在市场上销售,官方给出的解释是,目前在售的均为合格。
Suzhou (CNS) -- The Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee in east China's Jiangsu province has confirmed that baby formula products trademarked by Hero Nutradefense may not be safe.
The trademark claims to be exported from the Netherlands by a company in the industrial park, the committee said Thursday night.
Lang Juming, an official on the committee, told the press that the Suzhou-based Xile Li'er Import and Export Co., an authorized dealer of Hero Nutradefense, is suspected of blending expired milk powder and unknown milk sources into the products. It is also suspected of changing production and expiry dates and repackaging them.
Mou Jun, who heads the Xile Li'er Import and Export Co., has been detained by police, Lang said, adding that further investigation is underway.
The press briefing came after the incident was exposed by China Central Television (CCTV) the same day.
The consumer quality watchdog in Suzhou closed down Xile Li'er's production line in November 2012, as the company did not have a license for food production, according to the report by CCTV.
Despite the closure, its milk powder products were still on sale in many cities this month, the report said.
Reporters found on Thursday night that online stores had stopped selling Nutradefense baby formula in the wake of the report.
