Beijing (CNS) -- A special campaign called Green Bookmark Action, aimed at curbing the infringement of intellectual property rights (IPR) in China, was launched in Beijing on Monday.
Young pianist Lang Lang was invited to serve as the campaign's image ambassador, and a series of public benefit activities will be held across the country.
Green bookmarks with a special logo will be distributed for free at 200 middle and primary schools, 200 residential communities, 200 theaters, and 1,500 bookstores across the country.
Jointly launched by the National Office Against Pornographic and Illegal Publications, and the National Copyright Administration, the campaign will run through April 26, which is also World Intellectual Property Day.
Green Bookmark Action, which started in 2009, is a call for people to refuse piracy and respect innovation, and to mark World Intellectual Property Day.
