《2013中国产业升级研究》6日在博鳌亚洲论坛2013年会上发布。
Boao (CNS) -- China will be caught in a dilemma of an upgraded industrial pattern and decreasing job opportunities, according to a report released at the annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) on Saturday.
The report pointed out that China is now home to a 200 million surplus rural labor force, and that number is expected to reach 300 million in the next 20 years with the acceleration of urbanization.
The upgrading of the industrial pattern will inevitably lead to a loss of job opportunities, according to the report.
The report suggests policy makers in China should promote employment by supporting development in the service industry.
