London (CNS) -- A total of 23 Chinese publishers, including Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, are attending the ongoing London Book Fair 2013 at Earls Court Exhibition Centre, according to the program organizer on Monday.
At the book fair Monday, Phoenix held a launching ceremony for its London- based overseas subsidiary.
The publisher also signed a contract with British publishing company Scala on Monday. The two firms are planning to launch a series of books with the theme of understanding Chinese culture from museums.
The group also signed contracts with University of the Arts London and London Metropolitan University to begin training programs to produce more talents with international exposure for the publishing industry of China.
Other Chinese publishers, including China International Publishing Group (CIPG) and New Classic Press, also showed their latest books at the fair.
Founded in 1971, London Book Fair represents the world's second-largest marketplace for copyrights trading. Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany is the largest.
