中国启动2013年全国大学生科普作品创作大赛

主题为“保护资源环境，建设美丽中国”的2013年全国大学生科普作品创作大赛，6月2日在中国科技馆正式启动。

Beijing (CNS) -- A national college students' popular science project competition kicked off in Beijing on Sunday. The event was designed to improve college students' participation in the communication of science and technology, according to the program organizer on Sunday.

The event was jointly hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the central school department of the Communist Youth League, and the science and technology department of the Ministry of Education.

With a focus on protecting resources and environment, and building a beautiful China, the event will collect popular science works in the fields of environmental protection, emission reduction, food safety, and green lifestyle.

A total of 3,082 students from 343 universities around the country have submitted 3,984 works on science popularization, and 113 have been selected as prize-winners.
