(ECNS) -- China's embassy in Fiji has called on Chinese nationals there to take precautions in the wake of multiple cases of sexual assault and robbery.
A notice issued by the embassy on Thursday advises Chinese in Fiji not to carry large amounts of cash when they go out. They should also refrain from keeping valuables at their homes or hotels.
The notice also suggests that people should always go out in the company of others.
When encountering violent incidents, Chinese nationals can contact local police by dialing the numbers 911, 917, or 3311222, or seek help from the Chinese embassy by calling 006793300215.
